Weedman Family - Swedish Origins
Olaf Weedman immigrated to the United States from Sweden in 1855 and settled in Copley Township, Knox County near Galesburg, Illinois. Born 1821 in Ockelbo, Sweden. He apparently married in Illinois and raised his family there.
Descendants of Olaf and Brita (Andersdotter) Weedman are found in Illinois, Kansas, Montana, and Texas.
Olaf apparently had two brothers, Peter, and Jonas or Janas. We are aware of descendents of Jonas but not of Peter at this point.
